The Cheese Vendor

For Low Levels (Level 1+).

This is especially useful for : Players who want to develop a hefty stack of gold when starting on a new server, and Fellow AH freaks who do gold challenges.

Cooking quest (Clamlette Surprise – WoWWiki), has been changed in 3.1 and teaches (Clamlette Magnifique – Item – World of Warcraft), a level 35req cooked food which has the stats of level 45req food, and requires only Clam Meat.
Interesting recipe for cooks, isn’t it ?

Let’s take a look at the quest to see what items it requires.

We’ll focus our attention on the Alterac Swiss.
A quick lookup on wowhead : Alterac Swiss – Item – World of Warcraft

We notice the closest vendors are in Thousand Needles(Horde) or Dustwallow Marsh(Alliance), which are still pretty far away from Gadgetzan. (Actually, “Cavern’s of Time Inn Vendor also sells it.” – Thanks to [sync].)

So you’ll guess cooks would much rather buy them right in Gadgetzan, where they got the quest, than taking long flying paths or trips and going back.
But how are they gonna do it ? There’s no cheese vendor !
We’ll be the cheese vendors.

Walkthrough

We’ll buy stacks of Alterac Swiss, and sell them on the Neutral Auction House.

You can do this with LEVEL 1 characters, provided you have at least the 1g60s required for a stack, and 30 copper for mail.
I-Preparation
*Make a level 1 Tauren (or Blood Elf), park it at Thunder Bluff (or Silvermoon City)
*Make a level 1 Orc or Troll, park it at Booty Bay. If you’re not sure how to do this, check this :

II-Buying and Selling
*Using your ‘Cheese’ alt, buy as many stacks of Alterac Swiss as you wish. Mail them to your ‘Booty Bay’ alt.
*With said ‘Booty Bay’ character, post the Alterac Swiss on the AH. Shoot for 7g99s99c(500% return). Don’t ever go below 5g (310% return).

SELLING TIPS :
-Don’t sell more than 4 or 5 at a time; low supply helps keep the prices high.
-You can (and really should) use psychological pricing; with one alt, post a bunch of overpriced auctions, and with a second alt, post a few auctions at your desired selling price.

III-Reaping the Profits
*Enjoy your profits ! You’ve hopefully turned stacks worth 1g60s into stacks of 8g, which is 5 times your initial investment.

There are few deals on the Auction House that give as much return as this one, so this will make you some fantastic gold until you’re in the hundreds.

Let’s think about it : it takes 2 minutes to put up 5 stacks of Alterac Swiss on Neutral AH. You invest 8g and get, worst case, 25 gold back.
That’s a 17 gold profit, in 2 minutes. Everybody understands this is good use of money.

Eventually you’ll hit a mark where you can start finding more worthwhile investments. But before that, there’s no match.

There are 4 pieces we are interested in. The ones that require 2 Crystallized Earth and 1 green gem.

Sun Rock Ring
Crystal Citrine Necklace
Crystal Chalcedony Amulet
Bloodstone Band

These all have the same dis-enchant rates.

You need a little time to set this up. First you’ve gotta get a few people doing work for you. Easy enough to accomplish this. Just advertise you’re looking for stacks of the green gems and stacks of Eternal Earth. You might have to try with a few different price points before you get a reply. Once you do, tell them to send you as much as they have CoD, whenever they have it.

Once you get a few people sending you stuff when they farm it, your set. Start crafting the rings and dis-enchanting. Then sell the dust/cosmics.

Remember not to undercut people by more than 9.5% or so. This allows you to get profit and ensure that other people don’t buy your stuff and sell it at their higher prices. Since they would be taking a .5% loss.

————- 1. Herbalism ————–

For this you need to have and 450 herbalism, and epic flight mount or beeing a druid (best of all for herb farming).

I spend about 1-2hrs a day farming herbs. By that time i have about 20 Frost Lotuses and a lots of Icethorn and Lichbloom. After putting all this stuff to AH you will get about 1500-2000 gold (depending on server).

Best time to farm herbs is a night time or early morning. I’m using Gatherer (link) and Routes (Routes : WoWInterface Downloads : Map Mods, coords/compasses addons. I think u know what is Gatherer, so there is no need of describing it. Talking about Routes addon… this addon allow you to draw lines on the worldmap linking nodes together into an efficient farming route. Also this lines will be shown on the minimap. This lines really help u to beeing on the right route after some time of farming (helps not to loose your concentration).

This are the routes shown on my minimap (by the way, i recomend you to use some minimap addon that have feature to inscease it’s scale. I make my minimap about 3x-5x times bigger than it should be. It helps to find herbs without effort):

Also i have some herb spawns in Ice Crown, but i don’t like farming there cuz many herbs there require you to kill some mobs firstly:

Ok, next one. I have 426 inscription ATM. So, after you got your money from herb selling, go to auction house and buy all avaible Adder’s Tongue (Adder’s Tongue – Item – World of Warcraft) (as for me, i don’t spend more than 1000g a day on it). The normal price for this herbs are 20-25g a stack. After you have all your Adder’s Tongue in your bag simply mille it (this is a bit annoying part).

You will have a lots of Azure Pigment and propper ammount of Icy Pigment. Make inks (Sea and Snowfall ofc). After that, go and buy some Eternal Life (it’s normal price is 120-150 gold a stack). If you used my herbalism guide, you will probably have lots of Eternal Lifes from herbs.

P.S. don’t forget that Inks of Sea can be traded to Inks of Snowfall at Dalaran.

Well, you know what’s next Make Darkmoon Card of the North (Darkmoon Card of the North – Thottbot: World of Warcraft). I make arround 6-10 cards a day. If i’m lucky, 2-3 of them will be one of Noble deck cards, which can be sold up to 1000g per card, and arround 200-500g for cards from other decks.

Also, you can keep some of cards and make a deck for yourself.

Q. Why didnt u just update your old post?
A. Well because servers differ.. the old item might work on other servers + ppl might want to check how it
was back in that patch.. So deleting it might be stupid..

So what do you need for this to work:

- 2 Professions: Jewelcrafting(390) / Enchanting (325)
- 500-1000g starting money

What you gonna do?

1. Buy saronite ore in the AH (around 20-28g per stack – depends on each server) there are probably a lot of chinafarmers selling their saronite, so just put them on your friends list and ask them if they sell all their saronite each day directly to you for a cheaper price. I had 2-3 chinafarmers “working” for me at the end.

2. Prospect all the saronite – you’ll get the rare gems (craft them in something usefull – check which stones go for a lot of gold in the auctionhouse) – you’ll also get some uncommon gems (keep the blue/yellow/orange/red gems – you will not need the green/purple stones)

Edit: Some asked which gems are usefull: It highly depends on your server and what the demand is for that gem at the moment. Sometimes Vivid Forest Emeralds sell for 35g+ and sometimes an Enduring Forest Emerald is worth more. If you just started this method or you don’t do a high mass of prospecting then you only wanna make the highest priced gems. Otherwise you just make every gem that goes for 15g+ (around 5-8 at the time) and put it in the AH. The color matters too, on my server Red > Yellow > Purple > Orange > Blue > Green. Of course you need to do the JC-Daily or buy the damaged necklace for new recipes. Usually i just go to the AH a couple of times and see which gems are selling the highest, then i know which recipe i’ll buy next.

3. Buy a lot of eternal earth at the AH (3-8g depending on servers) and turn those into crystalized earth.

4. Use the gems + crystalized earth for the following recipes:
Bloodstone Band – Item – World of Warcraft
Crystal Chalcedony Amulet – Item – World of Warcraft
Crystal Citrine Necklace – Item – World of Warcraft
Sun Rock Ring – Item – World of Warcraft

Yes it will take a bit of time – but those are the most efficient items to make.

You’ll get a lot of infinite dust and lesser cosmic essences (make greater cosmic essences out of them) – you can sell those mats for a pretty high price at the AH

Tip:
- Check around twice a day if you’ve been outbid and either make new gems and put them in cheaper or take them out and put those in again
- Use the addon auctioneer (found in wowmatrix or at curse)
- Use the addon getmail or any other mailaddon to get your money/gems out of the mailbox faster

How much you’ll make is always dependend on the raiding situation (on my server on sundays i can sell a lot of raiding gems and on wednesday when servers come up and after archavon has been slain i can sell a lot of pvp gems)

You might ask why i don’t have more money if i could make 40k a week – simple answer: there is nothing to buy anymore and i rather do pvp or raid, since i still got 15k left.

Spec your tailors to shadoweave tailoring and bring them to Maw of Neltharion. 37.9, 32.2 in Dragonblight. Create two Ebonweave which sells for 280-300 g on my server. The mats for two ebonweave cost 25-30 g.

Step 1:

Download and load ObjectDumper and under Notification add “Everfrost” without quotes.

Step 2:

Load Wow and login

Step 3:

Head to Storm Peak and start flying within/around the red circle in the below screenshot

You will be looking for what it looks like a thorn on the ground, hover your mouse over and you will see Everfrost Chip. Right click and you will loot Everfrost Dust and a Everfrost that looks like a glowing orb looking thing. Once you have that head to Dun Niffelem and talk to “Calder” (If you have not done the quest, accept the quest then turn in the everfrost and it will become repeat.) You will receive 6g and 350 rep for “The Sons of Hodir”. Also these can be found multiple times and they are stackable but soulbound. Just keep farming them.

within an hour you should make 100g or more depending on how fast and how often you spot a everfrost chip.

Professions required: Skinning+Mining

I like to start at Goldshire then head Northeast to Jasperlode Mine, down to the ridge below Tower of Azora, down to Jerod’s Landing, west to Maclure Farm, west to Fargodeep Mine, and back up to Goldshire.

The real money comes in when you find people killing boars at Maclure Farm for the quest near there. Usually people dont have skinning at this level, and the stuff they need from the boars has a low drop chance, so there will be a lot of dead boars lying in the field. Yesterday i was lucky and had 5 people killing them, and none had skinning. I walked away with over 100 light leather, 75 skinning (was level 1 before i started) and 72 scraps in 10 minutes. The rest of the route is just for the copper ore which has a high chance to be in the mines.

Put all my stuff up on auction yesterday and checked this morning… total made: 47 gold.
