Because of a security feature in Mac OS X, The application will fail to call task_for_pid (Which is necessary). Therefore the process must belong to the procmod group(This is why you are asked for administrator).

UPDATE: i Figured out the Mac security API, no more terminal crap!

Instructions

1. Extract the .zip file into your WoW Folder.
2. Run the Model Edit Fix.
3. It will ask for administrator.
4. Run World of Warcraft
5. Close the Model Edit Fix.

This application has only been tested on:
Mac OS X 10.5.6, 2.4 GHz Intel core 2 Duo. I doubt it will work on PPC mac’s

Your model edits must be named correctly!

IMPORTANT:
Every time there is a new version of the app the program will update the dbc files. Yes this is annoying but once the real version comes out you should only see an update one ever few weeks and shouldent be that big of a problem.

A. This program is now self updating and well check the internet each time it starts up and check for an update

Q. If there is a new version available will i be forced to update?
A. NO, i will never force you to update the app.

It looks pretty good right now imo but I’m always open to suggestions.Tell me what you think about it and I might release it tommorow when I finish changing the rocks.The only tool I used is MWS and a MPQ editor to ease the file transfer of the m2′s and skins.

Did you ever get a really crap looking weapon but has better stats than your old one? You don’t need to worry about that anymore…

Here’s another hack I made which edits the model of your main hand, off hand and ranged weapon.

You simply get the IDs from Wowhead, or any other WoW Database.

For example, in the picture I have 2 Bloodmaw Magus-Blades. Just get rid of the ‘http://www.wowhead.com/?item=’ part of the URL and you have your ID. So…

Becomes
28802

Easy!

Edit: TO SEE THE CHANGES, PULL OUT YOUR WEAPON USING Z.

- It’s a complete recode from the old one Modelviewer, cause of new Wotlk Model System.
- As far as i have seen you now see the ModelID + ItemID next to Itemname, you also now can equip NPC Item’s but they are a bit buggy (most of time you don’t have textures)
- Particles & Effects buggy but some are working
- you can activate & deactivate DeathKnight Skins seperatly
- much more (not tested everything yet)
