Our Speedy Gold Guide The STV fishing contest always starts at 2pm server time. If you happen to play on a est/cst/mst server what you can do once the contest begins is fish up your 40 fish then log out. They will stay in your bags for 4 hours. Now the part that sucks. You need to pay for a paid server transfer to a server with a later time zone (est to cst or cst to pst for example). Server transfers usually take <30 min so even going from a mst to a pst server should work. Once you get to your new server wait for it to hit 2pm server time and the contest to start then turn your fish in and win! I’m sure people will find this much more useful if blizzard opens free transfers since you won’t have to pay.
